Terms of Service
Just a Good Guy is a service run by Porter Winter that small businesses use to answer their website chat, phone and texts and take bookings. These terms cover the text messages businesses send through it.
The full terms for businesses that sign up are being finalised. The SMS terms below apply now. How we handle information is on our Privacy Policy page, and how the product works is in the docs.
SMS Terms
Businesses that use Just a Good Guy (run by Porter Winter) text their customers about bookings. Next to your mobile number, when you book, ask for a call-back or send a message, there's a box to get texts about it. It starts unticked and you don't have to tick it to book. If you tick it, or tell the receptionist yes when it asks, you agree to get these texts from that business:
- booking confirmations, reminders and changes
- replies to the questions you asked
- a link to book again if a time you wanted opens up, only if you asked to be told
If you text a business first, it replies by text. How many texts you get depends on your bookings, usually a few for each one. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop texts from that business, or HELP for help. Mobile carriers aren't liable for delayed or undelivered messages. See our Privacy Policy for how your number is used: we do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
